I have a plow on my 2007 Suzuki Vinson 500. I was worried that it would not have enough weight and power to push a 60" plow so i about bought a 52". But after asking some people online they told me that my Vinson had enough power to push a 60" and if i bought a narrower plow i would regret it. So i bought a KFI 60" with the mid mount because i heard that the mount that bolts to the frame was better made than Warn.

In the end my Vinson did have enough power to push snow and it pushes it pretty easy. I haven't had any trouble pushing 18" of snow with it and i am very glad i went with the 60". The quality of the KFI is great i have no complaints about it at all. But it is heavy and squats the front suspension pretty good even with the springs cranked as high as they will go (my shocks could be worn out though not sure). I think KFI sells a poly blade and i would like to try one out of i ever buy another blade just for the weight savings.

The mid mount is the stronger way to push snow. But you cant lift the blade as high as a front mount. And when i installed my mid mount i drilled holes in the factory plastic skid to attached it to the frame with U-bolts. I am now running an aluminum skid and i plan to just completely remove the skid this winter when i put the plow back on it.

 

As far as the winch.... You can't go wrong with warn but you will pay a lot for one. I bought the first Warn ATV winch ever made and it was a 2000 pound. It generally worked well but it spent a lot of it's life under water and by the time i sold the ATV it was mounted on it was needing a new motor because the magnets came unglued from the can and it was making awful noises. The newer Warns are supposed to be better built but i have no experience with them yet.

I put a cheap $130 Harbor Freight 3500# winch on my vinson for raising and lowering the plow and recovery. The Harbor Freight 3500 pound is built like my old Warn. It has plastic gear housings and i bet the parts would even interchange with it. It's a great winch for it's price and i have never had any problems with mine.

Harbor Freight sells a cheaper winch with the motor and gear train all on the left hand side of the drum. In my experience with them they are not good winches if you want to actually use them for recovery. But for $60 it might be ok for raising and lowering a plow. But i don't think they come with a handle bar mounted switch which is very nice to have while plowing.

 

For my 2020 750, I went with the KFI 2500 winch and mount plate kit. I was very happy with the ease of setting it all up and it has so far been working flawlessly. (Knocking on Wood). For the plow setup, I took the advise of another member on here and went with the new stock Suzuki mounting bracket, push frame and 52" plow for the 2019's and up. After one full winter season of plowing, I have been extremely happy with the set up. You can go back to this post for other info:

I have several of the HF , bad lands I think, work great. One lifting a snow plow. I have several warn winches with bad controllers.
I welded on some 12" wings to the plow otherwise it seemed I was always chasing snow. And it made stacking snow more efficient. Just start raising the blade when you approach the pile. I have another straight blade I got at a garage sale cheap. But even angled it works fine but really better when pushing straight. I also tied back the tip because the springs were too week and have added a cement block when needed to have weight to scrape down.

That's another thing i forgot to mention about the poly blades. My steel 60" KFI is heavy and scrapes well but if it was poly i wonder if the lack of weight would cause the plow to ride up pushing heavy snow. Because if it did you would have to add weight to it anyways defeating the purpose of trying to run a light weight poly blade. Just something to think about if you are considering poly.

Looking for some advice when it comes to deciding what winch, and snow plow to get that will work best for my 2021 kingquad 500 axi

I have found some deals on the internet but i'm not sure if there are things to look out for, specifically for placement and fitment.

any suggestions and tips would be great, thanks in advance.

 

I got a kfi 3500lb stealth synthetic winch with a 48 inch kfibpoly blade plow setup. I have a post with pics from like a year ago. I like the setup. It was easy to install too. Good luck
