I know this is a Suzuki site but give me your honest opinion on these bikes. I am sure you guys ride with grizzlys often. Looking at both new 2014 750 and 700 on grizzly models. I will be doing trail riding mostly but can be muddy and rocky as well. Going to pull trigger on one next week and have been back and forth on each and done a ton of research. Been a long time owner of gsxr sport bikes and they have been very good bikes.

Suzuki Atv's are great bikes, just ask anyone who owns one. Unfortunately i can't give you the same feedback on the Yamaha Grizzly since I've never tried one. But the Grizzly's seem to be everyone's second choice after the King Quad from what I've read. I personally don't own a newer King Quad, but i do own one of the older model 300 King Quad's which is a beast in it own fashion. So if the newer King Quads are anything like their older predecessor, then you can't go wrong with a King Quad.

i have owned three grizzlies...550 & two 700's eps....700's get great mileage providing you stay with 25 stock radial tires...anything higher puts more weight...i had terra cross itp radials 25 stock size was getting about 200 kms a tank trail riding...i heard king quad 750 are great on gas also...never road one though...i would buy one...king quad might be faster...the only difference on the specs are the grizz has about 3 liters of gas more in the gas tank...but you cant go wrong with either quad...imo...

I've never driven a 750 Suzuki but I've driven a 450 and 500 and I love the feel of both of them. The Suzuki I think has the best driving experience. I've driven a 450 Kodiak and it was comfy to ride and handled well l, don't know about longevity of it but I wasn't a fan of pulling anything with it, seemed like it wasn't meant for it, was more of a trail vehicle.

Yamaha dealer just called and they got a a Matte black grizzly which is just what I wanted. Man this is turning out to be a bigger decision then I wanted it to be. Only because I have to choose between 2 great bikes that a very similar. In my opinion bikes are priced about same because all reviews say the stock tires on the KQ suck so that would take care of the $ difference.

I have a 750 and a buddy of mine has a 700 Grizzly. I have rode both and the KQ is alittle faster but not by a great deal. Other than that its all ready just what feels better to you IMO. Both are good bikes and have basically the same features etc and you won't be disappointed in either one. Just go with the one that feels better to you when riding and you'll be good to go. Matte black Grizzly looks good and the new matte grey KQ looks awesome as well. BTW all stock tires are junk lol.

IMO you are choosing between the best two technical trail machines out there. I have a KQ 450 and my dad has a grizzly 700eps. WHATEVER you get, the eps will be WELL worth the money. What I like about the king quads are that they have a very smooth engine and transmission, a less glitchy shifter, and a slightly better 4x4 system. However they are geared alot higher and are not as good as the grizzly in slow technical rides. Now what I like about the grizzly is that it has great ergonomics, I feel it is significantly more comfortable with a more plush seat. And the 2014 got new updates which likely helped anything I would be worried about. They are both very reliable. If I were to recommend one though for the trails you ride, I would go with the grizzly because of its lower gearing and better comfort. I'm not bashing my KQ, because its perfect for how I ride. And you have to admit, that matte black is pretty sweet!!! I hope you make the better choice!

I currently have a 2005 Grizzly with 3000 miles on it, and aside from oil changes and gear oil changes, I only had to replace front bearings which wore out from 7 trips to Hatfield McCoy in WV. I'm looking to get a 750 KQ soon. I have had Suzuki's in the past with good results. I had a 96 KQ which ran flawlessly. I'm leaning towards the KQ for a longer warranty and third headlight and 0% interest for five years.

I bought the King Quad last week...

I sell both Yamaha and Suzuki. Both are great quads. Suzuki , has a little better and softer suspension. The grizzly is 4 " shorter in length, and a little quicker off the line , actually the grizz will whip the kq ,speed wise. A fellow above me made a very wise comment, NEITHER OF THESE QUADS SHOULD EVER HAVE TIRES INSTALLED LARGER THAN 25" PERIOD! NEVER! I know a million people on here will tell you differently , believe me I deal with these machines daily , put a set of maxxis 25' bighorns on and you will be surprised how well they look and fit. I love both quads I sell more suzukis , but the 05 finance is the reason for more Suzuki than Yamaha. I can give you one more fact! THE YAMAHA IS THE 2ND BEST SELLER IN THE WORLD ,AND WILL BE AROUND FOREVER. THE SUZUKI WON'T. FACT! Suzuki is 7th in sales the absolute bottom. Great quads, very poor marketing and not a single change going on a decade. 1000 dealers just got cut loose by Suzuki, people aren't buying kqs anymore. A lack of advertising by Suzuki has all but eliminated the kq. This is why they are so cheap. As dealers , Suzuki won't even tell us if there will be a change for 2015. They won't even tell us if the bankruptcy talk is rumor or fact. When we sit on these quads for a year at a time in our showrooms, paying 15,000 dollars a month in intrest , you would think that Suzuki would at least feed us some info. Like I said they are both good quads and even if Suzuki folds, the parts will be out ther for a long time. It breaks my heart that the Polaris out sells both 3 1/2 to one. I also sell Polaris which doesn't even compare to the quality of the other 2. But none the less we sell about 30 Polaris's a week and we work on 50 a week.
