Hi guys I’m new to the forum. But I’ve been searching online for tires and am having trouble. I want a tire that’s 80% mud 20% trail. I’m stuck on vampire II, mega mayhems, max is zillas, or silver back lites. I’m running 14” msa ss rims atm. I’ve got

26x9x14 on fr and rear is 26x11x14. I want something that will pull good/paddle, bite, and trail good not worried about ride comfort.

The Bear Claws are nice. Both the original K299 and the HTR K587 do great in various conditions. They’ll do alright in mud, but if you’re planning on playing in the mud most of the time then something a bit more aggressive is best. The HTR in the Bear Claws stand for “Hard Terrain Radial”. So it’s made more as a trail tire but can definitely handle mud.

If you’re mainly looking to play in the mud 80% of the time then any mud tire really will affect your atv’s performance in some way. So when shopping for a mud tire try and find the lightest set that you can while still finding something durable. This will help in reducing performance loss.

I had a 07 500 Vinson foot shift and they had good power with stock tires. I eventually put 8 play 25's on it and there was slight power loss. I would go for the lightest weight tires you can find swamp lites might be worth looking into.

A friend of mine had a 03 500 Vinson and he tried to put 27" Lug Gear tires on it when it was about a year old. It looked impressive but it didn't have the power to turn them and i could keep up with him with the stock dunlops my 07 Vinson came with.

Vinson is a great quad but asking it to pull large mud tires is not the best idea. You will break CV shafts my friend broke many of them and the cheap aftermarket replacements are weaker than the expensive factory shafts. And the Vinson dont have a front locker so it's not a good mud machine anyways.
