How exactly did this new member scam you by asking to email him for price and or pictures..? Unfortunately I need a little more proof that he scammed you in some way. Like failing to send you a part if you actually paid for it, etc. And a good rule of thumb is to avoid emailing, contacting, or responding to any new member who claims they have a particular part listed for sale. When in doubt, avoid it. Most times it’s a scam designed to lure you in by sending fake photos of the actual part but don’t. Then you get scammed into purchasing it and most likely get taken for your money.
So never engage in any type of sale with new members. Always do transactions with members that have a minimum 50+ post count, or that have been a member on the Forum for at least 4-6 months. We work as vigilantly as possible to keep the Forum clear of all potential scammers. But even then odd ones skip through the cracks sometimes. I’ll keep close tabs on this member. But if you see or come across anything else that looks suspicious you can PM @John1960 and myself and we’ll look into it further.
