That's absolutely NOT normal.... mind you.... what is your definition of "no power".
My 05 700 KQ has a lot of punch in low range... however its not a v-twin with explosive power...like the Can Am Outlander... the KQ has done everything I've ever asked of it and more...but its only got about 43 hp.
It also has a built in delay when you punch it (thanks Suzuki)... so it delivers only moderate power till about a running pace then full power...I believe that was a built in by the factory "safety feature" so us dumb a-- owners couldn't wheelie it and break out necks
