Hi all, I have a KQ300. not sure of year, but believe it is around early 2000 model. The throttle cable has snapped at the handlebar control and I have obtained a replacement cable. Is there a way to re route the new cable without stripping all the gear lever panel and mudguards, etc off. tried taping old cable to new cable (cut off the rubber protector on old cable lever end) and pulling old cable out from carb end, but it only moves about a foot before jamming in frame somewhere. any help appreciated. You should be able to route the cable by just removing the shifter panel. I’ve removed it once before. It’s not all that hard. If someone has a better way of routing the cable I’m sure they’ll chime in. And welcome to the Forum.
