Both of our new KQs have a front wheel squeak. Less than 70 miles on both. Is this a normal thing that anyone else knows or has heard of? Brakes, bearings, etc. It does it on the wife's 400 and my 750.
My 2020 has never squeaked since new. Not sure what it could be ... very strange that they both do it? You bought them both new from the same place? Together? Also, if they are brand new, or a year old, bring them back in, they should be under warranty.
Its a common problem with especially KQ 400's. I had the same issue with a new 2020 400 and did some research. I found an old thread in this forum that mentioned taking the front wheels off and removing the calipers and front brake pads and coating all the contact surfaces; pins. etc. with anti-seize lubricant. (not the pads themselves) I purchased some Permatex anti-seize and did just that. Problem solved. It was extremely annoying to listen to the squeak, especially with a brand new machine. No more issues. Costs about $10 and some time.
Awesome. I was planning on pulling the front wheels off this weekend while I'm getting them ready for bear season. Now I know what to try once I do that.
