I installed front and rear Suzuki bumpers and I replaced the stock tires with Kenda bear claw HTR tires. I bought the same size bear claw as factory tires, but these tires look bigger and I know are heavier. I was expecting less power out of the hole, but I’m surprised I lost top end speed.

a part of the trail I was easily hitting 60 mph, I was struggling to get to 54 mph.

is the extra weight causing the reduced top-end? All I have done is an oil change, the new bear claw tires and front and rear bumper.
This is a new 2020 king quad 750.

Should not lose top speed . Once bigger tires have been mounted on any King Quad, the speedometer cannot be used as an accurate measurement. It drives off the motor’s final drive so it will not measure true ground speed but something less. a true comparisons can only be made using a GPS to measure speed.

If the tires are larger diameter, then your speedometer is reporting too slow a speed. You’re actually going faster than what’s reported. Heavy tires do suck the fun out of atvs.
