It just blows me away how many of these machines are still in use.

The ones that usually survive the most are the ones that aren’t rolled or used as a submarine. Anytime you can stay away from those two things greatly improves their longevity. But the ones that are abused, I’m amazed that some are still going. Though another key thing is maintenance. The ones that are neglected and abused usually end up as parts bikes.
