Usually by mid April our spring weather is starting to roll around. Then by the start of May the winter tires come off the vehicles and I start hitting the trails with the KQ. Though I’m usually having to go through snow that hasn’t melted yet in the shady areas. Though I got stuck last spring with the wife trying to cross a deep patch. Tried to plow through it but I ended up getting hung up on the skid plate with all four wheels spinning, lol. Not a huge deal as I had a few trees that I could winch myself to. Though I’m curious to see the difference when going through those snow patches with the HTR’s. Really want to try them out it’s not even funny. So yeah, basically our summers at least for us camping wise start in July. June is a nice time a year as well to go riding. But spending time in the bush is next to impossible as June is also crazy black flies month. It’s so unbearable it’s not even funny. Then by October it’s starting to get cooler out and atving becomes an outing with winter gear on, lol. Like I’ve said before, our summers are really not long.

But I totally agree with you that I live in the wrong part of the world, lol. Really feels that way when it’s the dead of winter and it feels like it’s dragging on forever.
Getting that atving itch as well..? Wife and I are seriously considering buying a used snowmobile after the KQ is paid off. Something else to help pass the time during the our long winter months. Plus I also deal with seasonal depression which doesn’t help. So come January I’ve had just about enough of winter and just want it to end.
Argh! I would 🤬love it to snow ,we might get a few inches every winter .......for a day or two but its been 20 years since me and the Mrs were towing each other round the farm in a foot of snow on a sled made out of a bit of corrugated roofing iron , good times .
My cats like snow ......its got them completely baffled 😆😆

It's amazing how much your description of winter sounds like ours. Our annual snowfall is 508cm though, a lot less than yours I'm sure. But that's been way off the last couple of years. Looking at a wind chill of -27c tonight.
