Hello all,

Recently got my hands on a 94 KQ that the previous owner said he couldn't get fuel to the carb. I bought a replacement fuel pump and carb. Issue is I am unsure as to which vacuum port the fuel pump should be connected to. Mind you, this thing has been tinkered with prior to me owning it and is needing some TLC.

Additionally, does the petcock also have a vacuum line to it?

That’s probably a good idea . I think most of the fine knowledgeable folks on this forum would agree that there’s nothing better than freshening up the stock carb for these finicky machines . Good luck .

Please read: Steel bolts or screws always seize in aluminum parts. I used this tool on my Suzuki with Mikuni Carb for the same exact screws you describe and just a little hammer tap broke them loose. Also I've used it on my truck with a 2lb. hammer hard hit to break large bolts loose.
If you own a motorcycle/ATV/UTV or anything aluminum engine/transmission then a hand held Impact Driver is a necessary tool. Inexpensive, holds screwdriver bits that are impact hardened and you simply whack it with a hammer which drives the screwdriver bit you choose (Philips or straight) into the machine screw with a jolting down force (holding it in the slot or cross) while a spring loaded torque multiplying twisting action takes place. You select clockwise or counter clockwise like using a ratchet. Even some mangled screws/bolts come loose. If you use this to begin with then your screwheads never get ruined. Once a bolt or screw is jarred loose they turn out easily most of the time unless they were cross threaded when put in.
