Axle spline compatibility - 90s into 88

Trying to remember if the non compatible 87 axle spline was for the all of 87-89 era. I want to buy an 88 that needs an axle and use my 90+ era parts to fix it, but I really don't want to discover that i need a hard to find early axle. Remind me. Thx

Attached is all I could find from the official Suzuki service manual. PM if you want a copy.

And from this thread it appears that the only year which had the 20 splines was 1987.
1988+ and with the KQ they used 22 splines.

You should be good...confirm?
Thanks guys. I bought it!
Turns out the axles are fine. Moron let a bad bearing eat through the bearing race into the rear A arm. Then Got a replacement off a kingquad, which doesn't swap into quadrunner, so he gave up. I have 3 extras and it's 3 bolts to replace. Though i feel bearing on other side is going too.
I like the small racks from this year, and the winch is bitchin. Will get it fixed up and see how she travels.
