Cable or rope dont matter and if you are only using it for lifting a plow you dont need to spend a lot on the winch.

I thought that mid mount snow plows were the best so i bought a KFI mid mount. It's well made but i have full Ricochet skid plates and putting the mount on int he winter and off in the spring gets annoying. And with a mid mount they dont lift very high which might be a problem for some people.

If i were to do it over again i would get the Suzuki quick release setup to avoid all the headaches running the KFI causes me. But the KFI is cheap and well made so i cant complain too much, it works.

And if you run a KFI plow on a 750 King Quad i highly recommend the Suzuki Vinson mounting plate it's much larger and spreads the load out and is much more stout. But the oil drain plug holes are in the wrong place for the 750 engine.

I chose the Warn plow setup only because you can also get a dump bucket to run in place of the blade for other uses
I would never run a dump bucket on an ATV they are not made for it. Frames are way to weak and anything with a suspension will not handle a load without bottoming it out. Maybe a single bag of mulch but you cant move dirt or rock.

My friend had a John Deere 455 diesel lawn tractor with a bucket on the front and he cracked his frame (common problem). And the frame was built to run a loader bucket and given enough time they still crack.

I dont even like how much the front suspension on my 750 squats with just a KFI plow on the front.
