New to the forum, and new to Suzukis. Been a Honda man all my life but like the abilities and options of these little 300’s.
I’ve got this 2001 that will idle all day long, but don’t like much throttle. Went to the local Powersports shop and bought a Shindy kit. Carb had ethanol fuel gummed up in it. Used ultrasonic cleaner and installed the rebuild kit in it. Drained gas. Carb re installed, rig runs better but after a minute of high rpm’s it starts falling on its face until you decrease throttle to say 30-40%. When this occurs giving it choke doesn’t fix the issue. It acts as if it’s starving for fuel and there’s a supply issue. I tried to run it with the petcock on prime and I can’t notice a difference. Only thing I can dream of is maybe I got the main jets mixed up? They’re both the same physical size and will fit in either spot. I put the bigger jet in the jet holder and the smaller main jet right beside it. Is that correct?
Suggestions?
