I have a 1994 Suzuki King Quad that will not start with electric start even though it has new battery, starter and cylinoid
I can drag start it and runs fine.

I have the plastics off and the headlights unplugged. The neutral light comes on, but nothing with you push the electric start button? And yes the on/off switch is in the run position.

Any suggestions?

Check and clean all electrical connection starting at the battery then working your way to the solenoid then starter. If still nothing check the fuses. If that doesn’t help pull the starter and bench test it. If it still doesn’t work then the starter is most likely shot. And it’ll either need to be replaced or rebuilt. Rebuilding the starter is the cheaper solution and not overly complicated. And welcome to the Forum.

Check the neutral switch on the engine and the neutral relay under the front plastic, behind the battery, left if center. It’s round and in a rubber mount. My guess is one of those two is the trouble.

The start button switch assembly could be bad. Take it apart and clean the connectors that touch the handlebar. If there's any rust on either the button or handlebar, it won't work. If you do that and it doesn't work, next check the connections leading up to it mainly the ignition coil. If you have power to everything except the start button assembly, more than likely it's bad. Had a similar problem with an 06 Arctic Cat. Good luck!
