I have a 1992 king quad 300. it came with front 11" rims on the back. i also have a 1987 250 4wd. they have 10" rims front and back, tires are 22x8-10 and 25x12-10. the 300 should have 11" in front and 12" in the rear. 24x8-11 and 25x10-12. there is 3" difference in diameter on the 87 250 and 1 inch on the 92 300. yet they use the same transmissions. My 300 has the 4 bolt hubs in the rear which is odd. All of this to ask what size tire should i use, and can i run the tires from the 250 ( they fit) and if not why?

If your KQ has 4 lug wheels on the back....chances are that it is not a KQ ( post your vin #)

The 300 KQ and 250 QR use the same front diff but the gearing in the output shaft from the engine is different .....hence the different tire sizes

KQ have 1 in difference front to back.....but they all have 5 lugs in the rear in that era

thanks tcIII. i was looking through parts diagrams trying to find the difference. VIN. JSAAK42A8M2103232. I believe it is a 92, and it is stamped 280cc on the cylinder. Its could be someone swapped the hubs at some point.

Trying to upload some pictures, hope it works. here is a picture of the 4 bolt hubs. the 300 came with 11" front rims on the back and 10" on the front. I swapped the rears with the 250. the mud lites really tear up the yard not good for the way i use them. Anybody in MI with used tires?
