I recently purchased a1984 LT185 w Electric Start that has some wiring issues. I cannot find a wiring diagram anywhere that includes the electric start components. Anyone help out there?

Look up a site called Tradebit. They have various PDF style service manuals at a very reasonable price. Probably around $10 for your year/model quad you have. Well worth the money to have a complete manual you can use on your entire quad. And welcome to the Forum.

I have a pdf of the service manual but it does not include the electric start "upgrade" option.

Ended up doing some home work on the electrical system. Now understand how all the components work with together and how they were wired. Had to break down how the charging system works, CDI, and regulator. Not bad once you understand it. Started it today. A little time, patience and homework pays off.
