Ltz250 rear diff seals?

I have a fairly new to me 2004 ltz250 and a couple rides ago the rear brakes went soft. So after pulling brake drum, a lot of gear oil came out. 1/4 of the drum was full of oil. Pads were saturated. I’m assuming my diff seals are bad and the oil leaked across the tube and into the drum. Is it possible to replace just the seals and not the bearings? Easy job? Also I heard something about the vent clogging and causing this and being a common problem? How do I correct that so no future issues?
Thanks.
