New 2020 King Quad

I picked up my 2020 750 Suzuki King Quad today. Very impressed with the fit and finish. The first thing I noticed when riding was how much smoother and quieter the engine is than my 2016 Yamaha. It came with some very nice cast wheels, but I swapped them out with a set of STI wheels and 26 inch Bear Claw HTR's I took off the Grizzly. I'm putting the Suzuki cast wheels on the wife's Rancher.

The only thing I see wrong with that King Quad is Suzuki does not offer it in a 2up model. Suzuki,Honda,Yamaha,Kawasaki, all don't offer a 2up version.

My wife will not operate a ATV on her own, bad experience years ago when she was a kid on her cousins minibike, but she loves riding as a passenger.

I had a used 08 Arctic Cat 650 H1 TRV 4X4 (2up) that I bought last year and I really liked it, but I had to sell it back to the dealership I bought it from because it turned out to be technically stolen, long story there. Recently I bought a 08 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO EFI Touring AWD (2up).

I do really like the looks of the Suzuki King Quad myself. I guess the manufactures I've mentioned above have it all figured out what sells the best though, but it would be nice if they offered a 2up version.

ON EDIT: Freaking weird I cannot view two of the pics of the original posters three pictures showing. It shows the first pic perfect, but the other two when I click on them it says your not authorized to view or something thing like that and shows I'm not even logged into the forum. I re-logged in a second time and it still will not let me view the pictures.

Same here, had to log in 3 times to view the first pic.

As for the OP, agreed, Yamaha is noticeably louder and has more engine vibration feedback through the bars. It's still a great machine but I like the quieter and smoother running KQ. I chose mine over the Grizz for these reasons and that I like it still uses replaceable headlights. LED lights are great for throwing a lot of light in the short range but the intensity of them drives my eyes crazy. My KQ lights have plenty of light on the trail and reach a long way out. I also chose my KQ because I was able to get it for about 5k less than the Grizz, that goes a long way too

Took the new KingQuad out yesterday to the St Croix State Forest for a short ride, 26 miles. A combination of rocks, sand and some mud. I was taking it easy, not supposed to use more than half throttle for the first 10 hours. I'm very pleased so far. The engine is much quieter and smoother than my Grizzly or Kodiak. I think the ride and handling is at least comparable to the Grizzly. Two more things I really like; No excessive engine heat on my legs, the Grizzly would cook me on warm days. And, no deceleration popping and backfiring.
Bigfoot likes this.

I had a 2016 Grizzly and I agree with your assessment. The popping and backfiring was annoying. It was a very good machine with no issues but sold it for a 2019 KQ and couldn't be happier. Try riding the soo line trail starting in Isle. You can put on quite a few miles for the break in.

You had much better luck with your Grizzly than I did with mine. Between my 2 "708" Yamaha's, a 2016 Grizzly and a 2017 Kodiak. I've had 4 engine failures in less than 4000 combined miles, 3 on the Griz and 1 on the Kodiak. (Yamaha did pay for 3 rebuilds, 2 out of warranty on the Griz.) The Grizzly is gone and the Kodiak is for sale. I hope to soon be 708 Yamaha free.

Yamaha went back to the 686 engine used pre2016 for the 2019 models.
