Oil suggestion

My KQ isn’t a newer model. But I’ve used Suzuki brand 10W40 motorcycle oil in my quad and have never had an issue.

Curious .... why do you wanna change the motor oil brand on a brand new machine?

Well. I had multiple people tell me about this break in service that should happen at 100 miles. The, “ Dont go past half throttle “ until that break in service is done. Have 20 some miles now

The “break in” period and the 1st initial service after break in are 2 different things.
The break in period is 10hrs where varying engine speed and avoiding more than half throttle is recommended.
The recommended 1st initial service is 100 miles (or 200kms).
Like engine oil choices , there are different opinions on how to properly “break in” a new engine.

Dealer told me a break in service is after 20 hours or 100 miles. Oil and filter will be changed, valves looked at and other tweeks if needed. So many varying opinion on this its not funny lol. Dealer mechanic said other places do things differently but this is what works for them

You should read the owners manual that came with you KQ.... And I agree with AJl719 Suzuki oil is what is suggested by the manufacturer along with Suzuki filters it's only a few dollars more. Been using the Zuki oil and filters in my 2014 which was bought brand new, no problems so far. Be sure to keep your receipts with mileage and hours written on it to prove the oil has been changed at the required intervals, just in case there is ever a warranty claim

Mobil 1 has worked great for me. Been using it since it came out. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
