2003 LT-A50 Vacuum port

Howdy - found some good answers on this forum while rebuilding a Suzuki 50 my buddy bought - but still running into an issue.

We replaced the whole top end with this kit -

New Suzuki Lt A50 LT50 Cylinder Piston Gasket Top End Kit Set 2002 2005 | eBay

Problem is, it doesn't have the vacuum port on the cylinder where the carb bolts on. Also, the cylinder that was on it, doesn't have it either (vacuum port is just hanging). Has anyone bought one of these and had success drilling and tapping and adding your own port? Guy on ebay is being accommodating but looks like I might have to return it and he states none of his have this port.

Unfortunately I'm not at all familiar with LT-A50, so i can't really help you out. But maybe someone else on the forum might. And welcome to the forum.

Hey danthman, I'm about to order the same top end for my son's tired 03 lta50. What did you end up doing and would you recommend it?

i just got the same top end kit. i did not realize it was missing that nipple for the hose that comes of of the fuel petcock till i was reinstalling the tank . i puged the hose and it fired right up . the seller offered to fix it but im wondering if it is nesesary . is that hose just to prime the engine ? i had no problems starting it with out the hose hooked up .
