What oil, filter, front diff, and final gear oil?

Well, it's time to change the fluids on the 2012 kq after only 50 miles. I checked the rear and contaminated fluid just rushed out so I'm just gonna do it all at once. I've got the engine oil figured out and know where I can get it in town. But the oil filter and differential fluids are a different story. Is final gear oil talking about the rear differential? What is equivalent to suzukis diff fluids and oil filter? The closest dealer is 50 miles and won't be able to make it there anytime soon. I've done some searching but didn't find a positive answer. Just some "I think"

What I have read, correct me if I'm wrong or add something

Filter: k&n part number- 138

Front diff: all I have is gl-5 sae 90 hypoid, what's the equiv?

Final: Mobil 424, what's the equiv?

Same as my 2007 450 KQ.
I just changed all mine on saturday.
Front -any Hypoid 90 with a GL-5 listing will work, I used Valvoline, Next time I'm going with Royal Purple synthetic.
Rear - The Mobil 424 is made for tractors and it's needed for the wet brake. I looked all over for it and only found it in 1 gallon or 5 gallon. Amsoil has an equilivant, but I ended up going to the dealer and paying $10.00 for a Quart of Suzuki gear and wet brake fluid.
Crankcase - calls for 10W-40 with an SN rating, I just used Havoline, but next time i'll probably take the time and order Royal Purple also. I like the synthetic oils, and always had luck with Royal Purple. just me.
also- cleaned the K&N filter, after hearing horror stories on the stock filters I'm glad mine has it.

I'm good to go, Now if it will only cool down I'll get out and ride

I've heard good things about Royal Purple also - Speaking of the horror stories of stock filters..can you tell me a little more about that? I haven't heard. Also, doing my 100 mile oil change, and decided to check the air filter and the box was full of white cottony stuff. I bought a 2011 750KQ in 2012. And think it was a mouse nest that got in there sitting at the dealership...There isn't suppose to be any white cottony stuff in there is there? Thanks.

Usually not. I would clean it out real good and make sure the filter is in o.k condition as well. If not you can upgrade to a better filter like a K&N or a UNI filter. Or you can just order a new stock filter, it's totally up to you.

I use Royal Purple in my F-150. I ran it for 7500 miles and changed the oil. When I changed the oil, just to see how much longer I could go on the Royal Purple, I sent a sample to Blackstone labratory for an oil analysis. They sent the analysis back with the % of all the metals and other chemicals found in the oil ( very little). In the summary they stated that I could go on the same oil for another 7-8000 miles.

From that point on I was a Royal Purple fan. If I can go 16,000 miles on the same oil in a heavy truck, that's good enough for me.

WOW. The more I read the more I see alot of folks upgrading to a K&N filter. I do ride in alot of dust I believe I will upgrade. Thanks Sherm.

You can also use a Twinair.com filter, I haven't had a single problem out of mine and I've only needed to clean it twice since I have owned it,got it with 124 or so miles on it, and it now has 1500 miles as of today.
