king quad 400 reverse

Just got a 2011 King Quad 400 and when put into reverse my max speed is about 6 mph before what seems like a rev limiter. Is this normal or something wrong?

Is there any way to bypass the limiter for this model year?

Not trying to be smart or anything, but are you sure there is no override button at all on your bike..? If there were one it would be located on the left side of the handlebars bellow all the other buttons on that side. It's usually a small rectangular button either yellow, green, or possibly even grey in color.

Now once again, I'm not trying to be smart I'm just trying to help you diagnose your problem. I looked online for a while but couldn't seem to find any info on this at all.

Absolutely positive there is no override on the bars. I did a long trail ride yesterday and didnt have any issues with not having full reverse power but I can definately see at times where having full throttle in reverse would be actually necessary to get out of some situations. This quad is the first I have ever had with a limiter on reverse.

Well that sucks. What the hell was Suzuki thinking by not putting a Rev limiter button or something on that quad, that is very bizarre indeed. I agree that sometimes you need a little more power to get out of mud holes and stuff. Definitely not having full power to your advantage must make this task very hard to accomplish without some muscle.
