07 KingQuad Reliability

Hello,

I just joined and I plan on buying an 07 Kingquad 700 with 60 Hours and 350 Miles for $4,000.

I was wondering if there were any know issues that I should look out for and if you as knowledgeable owners had advise for or against that particular bike.

I know that Can-Am had some frame issues and Polaris has many issues so I wanted to make sure I'm making the right decision.

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Should be good to go. Check the obvious like cracked cv boots etc.

As a buyer i would ask lots of questions and try and get a test drive if at all possible to see if the bike performs to your expectations. The KQ's are a real reliable bike, i own a 300 KQ with over 12,000 + km/s on it and she's still running strong.

Things i would check for would be some of the following:

Oil: I would check this for: dirtyness, like if it's been changed at all, milky like look to it, and if it's at the correct level. I would also ask if the bike burns any oil just as a precautionary measure.

Fluids: Check bike for leaks such as rad leaks, engine oil & Diff oil leaks, and brake fluid leaks.

Tires: Check condition of tires for cracks, gouges, and tread life.

Body: Check body for cracked or broken body panels.

Lights: Check all lights for workability, high beams, brake lights, and broken or damaged lenses.

CV Boots: Check all CV Boots for cracks or torn boots.

CVT Belt: Ask condition of CVT belt as a precautionary measure.
