2001 lt250 4wd

I can only move the quad in low gear, even reverse , it will not move in high gear at all. it shifts through all gears also in low. but nothing in high. i have adjusted the clutch.

Try jacking the quad off the ground and make sure it's in neutral, then try rotating each wheel by hand to see if it free spins with relative ease. If you can't rotate them or you can only rotate a few then the brakes may be dragging. But if everything spins freely then you may need to replace the clutch seeing you adjusted it and it didn't help.

they moved when jacked up. i even went through the gears ok when jacked up. but as soon as i put it on the ground and give it some resistance , they wouldnt move but only in super low. and i had the left side case off, so i know it is not a frozen gear. so it must be the clutch slipping. thanks for the reply !

Yeah, it sounds like the clutch since you can only move the atv in super low range. And since you determined that the wheels free spin when off the ground rules out the brakes dragging.
