Check the fuses first, if that doesn't solve the issue then you may have an issue with a connection someplace, or the neutral safety switch may need replacing. If the switch is bad the neutral light will not come on and it won't allow the starter to engage or the bike to start even though you are in neutral. And welcome to the forum.

I would double check the wiring and make sure it's connected correctly first. If everything still checks out and it's wired correctly then you may have a faulty neutral safety switch. I would then try replacing it to see if that solves the issue. You may be able to find one on Ebay for less money then you would elsewhere.
