Need Help With Rear Swing Arm Bolt

ok i have a 2004 ltz 400 and im trying to pull the motor and trans but cant get the pivot bolt out. ive tried pretty much everything including a punch with a 8 lbs sledge hammer and cant get her to move. need help please!!

Soak it with wd40 or what ever you have and get it to turn. I used a 2 foot long make shift breaker bar ( two foot pipe on a half inch drive socket wrench) once it cracked it cam right out. You can try to heat around it then hit the bolt itself with one of those compressed air bottles. The concept is heat everything but the bolt and then freeze the bolt to shrink it. Problem there is there isn't much of the bolt to get too. I have heard of guys having to cut them out.

i was afraid to try heat in it cause of the aluminum. i ended up cutting the bolt on wither side of the case. it had so much rust build up i never wouldve gotten her out. thanks for the tip though! gonna replace it with a stainless bolt and stick a couple grease fittings. should do the trick
