Unhappy Air/Fuel? vacuum/flow?

I have been cleaning up my 07 Eiger 400 since i got it 2 weeks ago.. i found that the owner didn't do anything to it.. I changed the air filter(clogged up), Spark plug(black as the night), cleaned the fuel tank(lots of sand), cleaned the carb(MORE SAND), cleared out the petcock/fuel valves(light crunch to turn), and changed the oil and filter(chocolate milk for oil). I put it all back together yesterday and now it won't idle or start up with choke on, what i have noticed is it revs so much cleaner and smoother now though. I start it with the throttle in a lil and even then i have have to play with the throttle to get her on. my neighbor says he thinks it's either air/fuel or vacuum to fuel flow. any help is good. BTW i want to know much oil i need in each dif? both are stock. THANK YOU in advance

and yes, it ran when i bought it.. i am boggled at how anything worked on this thing?? i had to re-align all the plastics so the gear shifter could engage low. I have also as of now drained the diffs, took off the busted brake calipers, and cleaned the CVT intake and exhaust.

Try it with the fuel/air mixture screw out 2 1/2 turns out.run it a little and change the oil again, sounds like it had water in the oil.

alright i changed the oil and filter again. i turned the throttle adjustment to the 2 1/2 or so and it does the same. i noticed that on one of the tries to start i accidentally covered the black intake hose with my work rag and it wanted to start but it didn't idle. too much air? or what do you all think?

Sounds like you turned the idle adjustment 2 1/2 turns, you need to try the air-fuel mixture adjustment,it would be on the bottom of the carb towards the front.it is countersunk in the carb.
