1997 LT-4WD carb problem....need help

Correction! Just purchased 1987 (not 1997)LT-4WD from the estate of a deceased neighbor. It started when I brought it home but dripped gas from carb overflow. I put in a carb kit and a new choke plunger. Starts and runs better, but it won't idle and after running for 2 - 3 minutes the gas starts dripping. I took it to local dealer and he didn't see anything that would cause it. He suggested as a remote possibility that the fuel pump could be over pumping. Any suggestions and comments are welcome.

Thats a possibility, have you check your float level,is the screw that opens the float bowl drain tight.

The screw is tight. Not 100% sure I have float level correct although it looks right. Suzuki told me I need a tool to check float level which I don't have. They checked float with air and said it looked ok. I noted your sticky on the possibility of a dirty screen by needle valve and didn't find a screen either.
