In the fall i started having problems with it having any power when it heated up(got HOT) runs great cold after running for 10-15 mins it starts to bog down and eventually will not stay running. I let cool down for 15-20 mins and it will run gain for 15-20 mins. ANY ideas.

Valves might need adjusting, siliencer may be clogged and need cleaning.

I'd guess its getting too hot. Heat will cause the engine block to expand and lose compression. Maybe try richening up your air to fuel ratio a bit. Also make sure the fins on the engine are cleaned out and not packed with mud.

I suppose check the oil and spark plug as well to be safe, but this sounds like a problem I use to have with my nitro powered RC cars. I always had them running too lean.

Someone else on here may have better advice, but hopefully this is a start.

It sounds like it needs a valve adjustment.

power problems

I ended up downloading a repair manual for 14.99 from Tradebit?? The valve clearance looks pretty easy. Is it as easy as it looks?? The manual also talks about the camshaft drive chain tensioner should this be done before the valve clearance??

All you do is pop the tensioner out and see if it has any adjustment left on it, if it doesn't then you should replace the chain before the valves.
