No power going through?

I bought a quad off craigslist the other day, its a 1993 and the battery on it was shot. Im not sure what the cc is but its a suzuki. My brother hooked the battery up to jumper cables and hooked it to the truck, but mixed the negative and the positive wires up. Once i realized he did it i took it off fast, now i hooked my dads new battery for his quad up to it, and nothing. no lights, no starter. nothing. Is there a fuse blown? were would the problem be and how can i fix it. We managed to catch it in gear the other day while pulling it around with my dads quad. but thats the only way we can get it running. Thanks in advance. i think its a fuse but i cannot find any fuses.

Definitely looks like a Suzuki from your picture. As for your model and cc, if you post up your Vin# i should be able to find that information out for you. The Vin# should be located at the rear of the bike, (Left Rear Down Tube) and should be a small welded tag with a total of 17 digits, (Letters & Numbers) engraved in the tag. As for your issue, a fuse does sound plausible, but let's start with determining what model and cc quad you have and start from there.
