Bad Oil Leak please help!!!

I have a 2001 Suzuki Quadrunner 4x4. There is a oil leak that is dripping on the exuast pipe while running. I just bought it and it wasn't too bad so I diverted it with a piece of thin metal. Well within a few hours of riding it got bad and caught on fire. I got it put out (luckily I was near a water hole) and it didnt hurt anything. I thought it was the valve cover and took it off and put the special namebrand expensive suzuki permatex and it is not leaking from there. The oil is dripping from the second cooling fin down directly onto the pipe (the fin is directly above the pipe with no fins in between) The cylinder head does not come apart there and I cannot figure it out. Maybe the head has a crack in it? Well if anybody had had a similar problem please fill me in with some info cause I'm stumped, its almost pouring oil out now.

I have the same problem with my 2002 king quad 300. I drips a small drop about every 5 minutes when it gets hot. It does not seem to be getting any worse. How did you make out in getting this resolved?

It could be coming from one of the bolts that holds the cover down, but without seeing a picture of where your talking about it is hard to say.

I had a bad o-ring on the exhaust valve inspection cap, replaced it and no more leaks. If you look at the online microfiche for it you'll see that two of the bolts that hold the valve cover on have washer gaskets (see 6-9 below), this could be your problem too.

I have a 1999 LTF300F King Quad and I am having the EXACT same problem as Hamilton had above.
Oil is wet on bottom underneath on the 2nd cooling fin and is leaking one drip on exhaust every 2-3 mins when revving up
It is definitely NOT coming from the rocker cover seam or valve adjustment caps above.
I have NO idea unless it might be leaking out the exhaust?
ANY help is GREATLY appreciated.

I am with Kgriffith. The oil pump uses the area around the 2 internal head bolts to send oil to the top of the engine. I have not had this problem on a Lt4Wd or King quad but I did have a similar problem on a 86 lt250. I found the gasket between the head and block had a problem and was allowing the oil being pumped for the top to leak out. The oil leak would only happen while running which lead me to look at the pump system.
