no power
I charged my battery but nothing happens when I push the starter button. The battery was old and dead so I went ahead and bought a new one, charged it, installed it and still nothing. What all do I need to check????????

Not sure which ATV you have. But i would start with the Battery ground, Chassis Ground,Starter Positive cable, Starter relay. And possible Ignition switch. Sounds like a loose Starter wire or relay connection..

Also there is a fuse most of the time that controls the starter circuit, but as Liquid said it would help to know what bike you have so we can help more.

Sorry Bout that. It's a '95 King quad. I got it out of the shop after a carb rebuild and it started only after charging the battery. A few days after getting it back, I tried to charge/start it but nothing. I replaced the battery and still nothing.

Does it start using the recoil starter..? Just trying to narrow things down.

Check around starter all wiring, check under seat for a loose pinched wire. Sounds like either a loose or no ground wire to frame/motor..anyone seen Sukifreak latley. He's the Suki Guru on here..

haven't tried the recoil starter yat. I have a sick 13 month old so my time is mostly spent with her. I will try these tips when I get a chance. Thanks to everyone for their advice.
